3 Ways To Share Your Linkedin Profile Other Than Saying “Look Me Up”

Your Linkedin profile is an important resource and potential portfolio. Of course, when you are networking or applying for jobs, you are not always doing so directly through Linkedin. So how do you make sure potential employers or networkers can find your Linkedin profile?

1. On Your Resume

You should always include your Linkedin profile link somewhere on your resume. The best place to put it is with your other contact information. You should also make this link, as well as another link in your resume clickable.

In my resume, my Linkedin is included in my header which contains all my contact information. It is listed as my first link just below my name, in part because it is the longer of the two links I have and because not all jobs I might apply to will be interested in my personal website/blog. Also note that my personal branding includes a sage green accent color which I have used for my links.

Here are a few more examples:

2. In Your Email Signature

Your email signature is another great place to include your Linkedin profile Link. In much the same way that your resume contains a contact section, so too can your email signature. Your email signature should include all of the additional ways to contact and connect with you.

3. On A Business Card

For those of you who have or want business cards you can include your Linkedin in a couple ways. The simplest would be to include a Linkedin icon to indicate you can be found there, or you can include a QR code that links directly to your profile.

Making a QR code is really simple. If you use software such as Canva to design your business card, all you must do is click on the option to insert a QR code and then paste your link. If you don’t have something like Canva, you can click on the arrow/share page in your web address bar at the top of the screen and select QR Code then download the image.

If it contains your contact information, it should include your Linkedin!
