5 Templates For Emailing Thank You Notes After An Interview

With the current state of employment, it’s more important than ever to standout before, during, and after an interview. One of the best ways to standout after an interview is to send a Thank You Note.

Writing a Thank You Note leaves the potential employer with a good impression and is a last chance to show your interest and restate your qualifications. 

It use to be the standard to give a handwritten Thank You Note, but nowadays with so much of the hiring process going digital, emailing your Thank You Note is much more efficient.

Here are the basics of what you should include in a Thank You Note:

  1. Subject line (This is the subject line at the top of the email)

  2. Greeting

  3. Expression of appreciation

  4. Restate your qualifications

  5. Encourage the next step

Here’s how it all goes together:

Subject: Great to Meet You

Hello [Interviewer Name],
